Surgery

The Village Vet employs advanced laser surgery equipment for all surgical procedures. A surgical laser helps reduce swelling, pain and bruising of tissue during the procedure and promotes rapid healing. There is a decreased risk of infection with laser surgery and your pet experiences less post-operative pain. We are one of the few veterinary hospitals in the area to offer this service.

X-Ray

Digital Radiograph is a powerful diagnostic tool that aid greatly in diagnosing your pet's medical problems. X-rays are used to diagnose a variety of conditions and we commonly use x-rays to diagnose cardiac, pulmonary, abdominal and musculoskeletal conditions. Our hospital also has the capability to perform barium radiographic studies. All radiographs taken at The Village Vet are sent to a board-certified veterinary radiology specialist for diagnostic interpretation and confirmation. We believe this added service strengthens the quality of medicine we offer, and greatly aids in diagnosing your pet's condition, and ultimately benefits his or her well-being.

Green O2

We make our own oxygen right here in the clinic as we need it. This eliminates the need to constantly truck in O2 tanks, saving money and helping the environment in our own small way.

Lab Results

results in fast, accurate treatment for your pet. The Village Vet is equipped with an extensive on-site laboratory that enables us to perform pre-surgical and/or emergency bloodwork. Our laboratory is veterinarian-supervised and staffed by our trained, experienced veterinary technicians, to quickly and accurately interpret your pet's results. As an added service, we utilize an outside reference laboratory for other diagnostic tests. Microscopic evaluation of blood samples, urine, fecal, and fine-needle aspirate cytology can also be preformed.

Dental Care

All of our equipment is the latest technology for diagnosing, and treating our patients. Our technology is what keeps us ahead of our competition.

UltraSound

Ultrasound uses high-frequency soundwaves to create a moving image of your pet's internal organs to evaluate motility, organ size and structure, and locate masses associated with internal organs. We routinely perform abdominal and bladder sonograms or cystocentesis for the collection of sterile urine samples for culture and testing using ultrasound. Your pet does not need general anesthesia, complicated surgery or painful experience. An ultrasound diagnostic examination is stress-free for your pet and lasts a few minutes.

MLS Laser Therapy.  The benefits of laser therapy can’t be overstated for the treatment of arthritis, back pain, otitis, wounds, post surgical sites and edema. It not only hastens healing, it actually improves the way tissue repairs and renews itself. In post-operative patients, laser treatments reduce the risk of complications. Patients don’t need to be sedated for treatment. MLS laser therapy treatments are cumulative, meaning each treatment builds on prior treatments and the animal’s condition improves continuously. Laser therapy is an option that can restore quality of life to animals with a wide range of incapacitating health conditions.

ECG Analyzer

To monitor or asses heart rate and rhythm.
An ECG is particularly good at detecting alterations in heart rhythm. In fact, it is not possible to diagnose specific rhythm abnormalities without the ECG. Alterations around the heart may cause an abnormal position of the heart, which will lead to changes in the electrocardiogram. An ECG can detect changes in the size of various parts of the heart when they produce changes in the waveform.
-Right or left ventricular enlargement
-Bi-ventricular enlargement
-Right or left atrial enlargement
-Bilateral enlargement
Identifying heart irregularities allows the clinician to avoid sedatives/anesthetics that could cause complications during routine procedures.
